About the roles:
The Senior Epidemiologist provides expert epidemiological and statistical advice, analysis and support to a coordinated and collaborative approach to the analysis of statewide data.
 
The roles will:

  • undertake epidemiological and statistical analyses to support priority projects
  • provide high-level technical advice on analyses to support NSW Health system priorities
  • provide expert and specialist advice in response to data, analysis and information requests from a range of stakeholders including the Executive
  • prepare reports, scientific papers, presentations and other correspondence (including ministerial briefs) to disseminate insights gained from data analysis and inform decision making
  • lead or contribute to the development of a range of data and analysis capability building activities for NSW Health staff
 
Both roles are within the Epidemiology and Biostatistics Unit within the Centre for Epidemiology and Evidence.

The position is part of the Analytics Assist team
 
Temporary Full Time Role:
The position is part of the Strategic Information team
