The National Health and Medical Research Council has held its 75 anniversary symposium, analyzing the best way forward to translate research into better health outcomes for all nations.

 

The Research for a Healthy Future three day symposium drew top researchers from around the globe to investigate how decisions should be made on how research is best used to ensure health and wellbeing of all communities.

 

Distinguished guests included members of the Global Alliance for Chronic Disease (GACD), Heads of International (Biomedical) Research Organisations (HIROS) and several high profile international and Australian researchers.

 

“The NHMRC has attracted researchers who are the policy leaders that set the funding agenda of the international health and medical research system (on behalf of governments all around the world) to attend its 75th anniversary symposium.
