The Victorian Government has announced grants of up to $500,000 are now available under a $3 million initiative.

State Minister for Mental Health Mary Wooldridge said the $3 million grants program was part of a $7.5 million initiative designed to enhance clinical community mental health services and Psychiatric Disability Rehabilitation and Support Services (PDRSS).

This grants program will help improve the facilities of organisations that provide these vital services to Victorians with mental illness,” Ms Wooldridge said.

The grants are available for capital improvements that enhance services and could include child and youth ‘friendly’ or gender-specific spaces; separate areas for clients and their families; integration with alcohol and drug services; or improving safety of clients and staff.

“Grants of up to $20,000 are also available to the PDRSS sector to allow services to conduct capital planning where their proposals require further work before they can be considered in future funding rounds.

Submissions for the capital grants program close on Friday 17 May 2013 and more information can be found atwww.health.vic.gov.au/mentalhealth/ecmhi-submissions.htm or by contacting This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
