Clinic Nurse
Pangula Mannamurna Aboriginal Corporation (PMAC) is a Community Controlled Health Organisation located in Mount Gambier providing a comprehensive primary health care service to the Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities across the Limestone Coast.
CLINIC NURSE
As a Clinic Nurse you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact in supporting clients and community members health within the Limestone Coast. You will serve as a critical link to identifying the health care needs of individual clients whilst promoting health and wellbeing. You will be an experienced nurse responsible for the provision of primary health care, triage and assessment, coordination and delivery of nurse led clinics, health promotion activities, and liaison with a multi-disciplinary team internally and externally. There will be a sexual health component incorporated into the role. You will respond to the needs of the clients and community with regard to primary health issues including monitoring and follow up.

Contract to 30th June 2024
Responsibilities
- Establish, and maintain, trusting and respectful relationships with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.
- Establish, and maintain, good working relationships with community groups, health professionals and other relevant agencies, both internally and externally.
- Uphold organisation, employee and client confidentiality and maintain a professional approach in all situations within both the community and the work environment.
- Prioritise and manage workload to complete tasks according to work schedule, completion of general administrative tasks including: client documentation and data entry.
Desirables
- Demonstrated experience in engaging with, and understanding of, Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities and individuals.
- Knowledge of, and experience with, working with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people within contemporary health outcomes based primary practice.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Well developed nursing triage and assessment skills.
Requirements
- Some out of hours work, and inter/intra state travel, will be required.
- Current full Drivers Licence.
- Current Working With Children Check.
- Current AHPRA Registration.
- Minimum 2 years practical nursing experience within the Acute Care or Primary Health sectors.

A 6 month probationary period applies
