We are actively searching for an animal/biological scientist or vet nurse with experience in farm and companion animals to provide hands on support in the execution of R&D clinical studies.

The role
As a Research Scientist you will direct, coordinate and conduct the in-vivo phases of studies for the development of new animal health products and label extensions for existing products for the global and regional ANZ markets.
You will:
- Conduct and/or assist with the coordination of biological phases of studies evaluating the efficacy & safety of compounds, novel formulations or vaccines.
- Collaboratively conduct specified studies in accordance with VICH Guidelines & Good Clinical Practice, OECD Principles of Good Laboratory Practice and/or Elanco Good Research Practice.
- Contribute to study protocol/plan design.
- Collect biological specimens from study animals.
- Ensure all data generated in studies is available, presented and maintained to a standard suitable for submission to regulatory authorities.
- Provide support to other sections for relevant operational tasks.
- Utilize technology solutions to track, receipt and process biological specimens.
- Undertake reviews of Standard Operating Procedures, forms and other document templates in conjunction with other personnel to improve processes and procedures.
To be successful:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in related discipline; biological sciences, veterinary technology or vet nursing.
- Demonstrated relevant industry experience in animal handling - companion and/or farm animals.
- Strong problem solving and analytical abilities.
- Broad knowledge of products, pests and diseases.
- Must be a team player and possess a high level of written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work additional or flexible hours as required
- Fluency in English is essential
- Driver’s license, locally based in Greater Western Sydney region
