We have a new opportunity for an OHSW Business Partner to work closely with all areas of the School to develop and implement effective and contemporary systems, procedures and strategies that optimise the health, safety and wellbeing of employees and mitigate risks to the School.  

About the role:
Reporting to the Director of Employee Engagement, the OHSW Business Partner’s key responsibilities include:

• Continually reviewing the School’s approach to OHSW risks and hazard management and updating as necessary
• Enabling compliance with OHS Act/other applicable legislation
• Overseeing WorkCover and assessing injury trends and patterns to design a suitable injury prevention program/ training 
• Coordinate applicable OHSW training for employees 
• Coordinating the OHS Committee and workplace inspections at each campus 
• Reporting as necessary 
• Developing an appropriate employee wellbeing strategy and initiatives, in collaboration with key stakeholders
• Collaboratively reviewing the approach to bullying and harassment prevention,  overseeing and continually developing the Contact Officer network, and employee training as required

About you:
Applicants must possess:

• Extensive knowledge of the OHS Act and other applicable legislation
• Strong understanding and application of effective approaches to risk and hazard management and of general factors impacting OHSW  
• Proficiency in Office 365 
• Suitable qualifications and experience in a similar role at a senior level
• Personal alignment to the School’s Strategic Framework
