About the opportunity 

The Child Clinical Research Manager will be responsible for providing overall clinic and research database coordination and management, to include liaising with the Chief Investigators to set up study protocols and ethics approvals at the Brain and Mind Centre as well as overseeing professional and ethical recruitment and assessment of children and their families. Critical to the role will be the managing of relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to the project as well as ensuring the scientific integrity of the data coming in.

The Child Clinic Research Manager will, in the first instance, coordinate the co-operation of two existing research clinics at Brain and Mind Centre (Sydney Child Development and Behaviour Research Clinic, and the Autism Clinic for Translational Research) and respective research groups into one transdiagnostic clinic – the Transdiagnostic Child Development and Behaviour Clinic at Brain and Mind Centre – including the ongoing day-to-day scientific, administrative and ethics aspects of the establishment and running of the Clinic.

We are looking for a Child Clinical Research Manager who possesses demonstrated expertise in:

  • Managing and overseeing day to day processes of projects, in particular relating to child mental health services
  • Managing the development and implementation of multiple work stream project plans to meet overarching project activities
  • Ensuring governance, research and clinical requirements are in compliance with University research and ethics requirements

This position is designated as child-related work. To undertake or remain in this position, you are required to apply for and obtain a Working With Children Check clearance in accordance with the Child Protection (Working With Children) Act 2012.
