The Senior Research Assistant will be based at Sydney Nursing School working with the Project Lead and other collaborators within the two funded programs of research in pediatric injury and emergency care delivery. These programs are supported by the Day of Difference Foundation, Thyne Reid Foundation and NHMRC.

About you

  • tertiary qualifications in psychology, nursing, health science, social science or equivalent combination of qualifications and experience
  • demonstrated experience coordinating the successful participant recruitment process in accordance with identified timelines
  • a thorough technical understanding of research in the areas of focus and the ability to undertake research and analysis on specific defined issues
  • previous experience managing the submission of grant and ethics applications
  • well-developed project management skills including the ability to efficiently coordinate project schedules and events
  • extensive experience in conducting and reporting on laboratory research projects including carrying out scientific literary searches, and preparing literary review for further analysis
  • previous experience solving complex conceptual problems and making recommendations based on analysis - autonomously and in collaboration with team members
  • excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills including the ability to prepare reports and liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • the ability to work in a complex and challenging environment.
