An exciting career opportunity has become available based in beautiful Bacchus Marsh (Darley) 45 minutes from Melbourne CBD.
This position is to coordinate the operations of the Community Safety with respect to the development and administration of Council’s Environmental Health, Local Laws, Parking Control, Animal Management, School Crossing Supervision and other related matters..
To be the successful applicant for this position you will need to address the following selection criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications in the field of Environmental Health or equivalent along with substantial experience in the relevant field; or extensive and diverse experience in the appropriate fields of Environmental Health and Local Laws in either the public or private sector is essential.
- Experience in an enforcement related field and demonstrated court experience.
- Extensive knowledge of State and Local legislation regarding Municipal Law enforcement, environmental health and Local Laws.
- Substantial experience in the delivery of regulatory services in local Government.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service and ability to lead teams in obtaining successful outcomes under the win-win scenarios.
