About the role
The Paediatric Occupational Therapist is responsible for quality community based occupational therapy services to children from 0-6 years of age within North/West metropolitan regions. The Paediatric Occupational Therapist will be responsible for client care in accordance with current best practice and the strategic directions of cohealth. The position will be primarily based at Collingwood, Braybrook, North Melbourne, or Niddrie but may be required to work from other sites.

Your duties include:
- Provide ethical, evidence-based, flexible, professional family centred and goal-directed Occupational therapy for individuals and groups of children
- In collaboration with the Child and Family Health Team, oversee the day-to-day occupational therapy service ensuring the provision of high-quality care
- Maintain and complete client files and statistical/program records in keeping with the organisation's policy
- Participate in team/site/staff meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures of the organisation

Our ideal candidate:
- Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent
- Registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency)
- Demonstrated clinical competence including sound decision making skills
- Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating occupational therapy programs for paediatric clients
All appointments are made subject to a satisfactory Police Check, a Working With Children Check (WWCC), complete a Statutory Declaration, evidence of legal rights to work in Australia, and evidence of vaccination against COVID-19 (3 doses). Additionally, some roles will also require current AHPRA registration and/or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
Roles that are determined to be Risk Category A or B [staff that have direct and/or indirect contact with body substances and are at higher risk of occupational exposure to infections] will be required to provide evidence of immunisation assessment including Influenza prior to commencement [A] or within 12 weeks of commencement [B]. This is in accordance with the Victorian Minister of Health Mandatory Vaccination Orders for COVID-19 and legislated requirement for influenza vaccination.
