About the role

The role of the Manager - Tasmania Operations will be to work closely with the Practice Manager, General Practitioners, and other practice staff to ensure the smooth operations of the primary care clinics and ensuring clients are receiving value-based high-quality healthcare. This role will have oversight of the running of both practices, including direct reports, and will report through to the Director of Allied Health and Social Supports.

This role is based in the Triabunna and Bicheno facilities.

Your duties include:

  • Manage Operations of the cohealth's Primary Care Services in Bicheno and Triabunna
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for expanding our services in other parts of Tasmania
  • Champion cohealth's culture to promote teamwork, employee development and empowerment
  • Contribute to the principles of continuous improvement as contained in cohealth's quality system and ensure compliance with cohealth policies/procedures

Our ideal candidate:

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in community development, program management, facilitation and/or quality improvement
  • Ability to work effectively across a multi-disciplinary services
  • An understanding of the health / social services sector and the social model of health principles.
  • Establishes respectful professional relationships that have clear boundaries with consumers, staff, partner organisations and funders

All appointments are made subject to a satisfactory Police Check, a Working With Children Check (WWCC), complete a Statutory Declaration, evidence of legal rights to work in Australia, and evidence of vaccination against COVID-19 (3 doses). Additionally, some roles will also require current AHPRA registration and/or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.

Roles that are determined to be Risk Category A or B [staff that have direct and/or indirect contact with body substances and are at higher risk of occupational exposure to infections] will be required to provide evidence of immunisation assessment including Influenza prior to commencement [A] or within 12 weeks of commencement [B]. This is in accordance with the Victorian Minister of Health Mandatory Vaccination Orders for COVID-19 and legislated requirement for influenza vaccination.
