THE OPPORTUNITY

The Technical Officer - Health Management Information Systems (HMIS) will lead one of the projects supporting the review and integration of Health Management Information Systems to manage quality integrated sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services including family planning, violence against women and girls prevention and response, and youth and disability inclusive services in development and humanitarian settings.

This position is initially for a 12 month period and is part time 0.6 - 0.7 time fraction.

CRITERIA

The successful incumbent will have:

  • A higher degree in a health or information management related field
  • Experience working in, or with people from low and middle income countries especially in the Pacific region
  • Experience working with health information systems (e.g. Tupaia, DHIS, DHIS2 or other electronic tools) and able to provide training and support in country
  • Experience in international development/NGO and understanding of cultural sensitivity
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to engage with a diverse range of people and work in a team
  • Ability to plan and project manage the activities and work independently
  • Ability and willingness to travel in-country
