Aboriginal Targeted Outreach Services Coordinator DARWIN

 

  • As part of our commitment to our Reconciliation Action Plan this is a targeted role for an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander candidate.
  • Permanent Fulltime opportunity.
  • Under the direction of the Centre Manager, program and monitor the appointment schedule for Outreach visits.
  • Liaise with primary health services to facilitate participation in the Outreach program.
  • Establish and maintain strong external stakeholder relationships with key contacts at health services in Aboriginal communities.
  • Drive advocacy for the services of Hearing Australia.
  • Great administration and customer service skills, with at least 2 years experience.
  • Knowledge or awareness of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health sector.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attractive hourly rate plus 15.4% superannuation

We are looking for a dynamic and results focused Aboriginal Outreach Services Coordinator to join our Darwin Hearing Centre team.  You will be responsible for coordinating our Outreach Services to Aboriginal communities throughout the Northern Territory and liaising with internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for ensuring effective schedules are in place relating to our outreach services.

In conjunction with your excellent administration and stakeholder skills you will be responsible ensuring service level agreements are maintained and that our service levels are responsive to the needs of local communities. 

The ideal candidate will have: 

  • Must identify as Aboriginal and be accepted by the Aboriginal community.
  • Strong awareness of Aboriginal health services throughout the Northern Territory.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Experience with working with communities and providing coordination and service delivery options.
  • A great attitude towards learning new tasks and adapting to change.
  • Excellent people skills with the ability to develop and maintain great relationships with our clients and stakeholders
  • Experience in a sales and/or marketing with forward and creative planning to increase brand presence within the community
  • Passion for exceptional customer service
  • A positive team player
  • Strong computer skills and experience with managing budgetary aspects of service delivery.
  • A current driver's licence
