Visiting Medical Officer in General Surgery

Maitland Hospital

Maitland Hospitals is looking for an experienced consultant in general surgery to provide high quality, evidence based, patient focused clinical services to The Maitland Hospital and their families and carers.

 You will have vision and an optimistic, upbeat personality which inspires positive change in others. You will be energetic, enthusiastic and passionate about what you do. You will lead by example and be able to gain the buy in of medical staff by being inclusive and valuing the contribution of each and every member of the team.

Strategic thinking and the ability to think outside the box, the person we are looking for will have proven skills in change management, communication, planning, quality assurance, service improvement and a commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research.

Provide holistic, best practice surgery medical care to inpatients and outpatients of The Maitland Hospital.

Lead the provision of a best practice, evidence based surgery service to General surgery patients of The Maitland Hospital and to participate in the relevant teaching, training and research programs of the unit
