APS5 Operations Officer - Compliance Management Group

 

THE OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting opportunity for Operations Officers to join the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission. We are seeking candidates with strong analytical and organisational skills that have a proven track record of project managing or coordinating business improvement initiatives.

The successful candidate will need to have strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills to consult relevant stakeholders, review business/team requirements, identify gaps and risks, and deliver successful outcomes.

The role will assist with implementing the group’s operational assurance program and taking ownership of the workforce plan, and recruitment and retention strategy. This will also include administration coordination of the recruitment, onboarding, and induction for staff within the group.

The Operations Officer – Compliance Management Group role sits within the Compliance Management Group Operations section which leads the groups’ workforce plan and building capability across the group. The section also coordinated the development and implementation of operational procedures and quality assurance for the group.

POSITION DUTIES

  • Assist with reviewing business/team requirements and identify gaps and changes needed in existing documentation supporting a continuous improvement culture.
  • Assist with the development and monitoring of operational frameworks, policies, business process maps and procedures.
  • Assist with the implementation of operational assurance program.
  • Assist with the conduct of regular internal quality assurance reviews and draft reports on the outcomes.
  • Extracting and analysing data and from various databases and highlighting risks/gaps or issues to the Assistant Director/Director under strict time constraints.
  • Coordinate the team’s contribution to appropriate systems, procedures, and controls to enhance the accuracy, timeliness and presentation of workflow or workload management.
  • Assisting with the development and monitoring of the group’s workforce plan and recruitment & retention strategy.
  • Manage administrative outcomes for recruitment and onboarding of staff within CMG and co-ordinating, creating and amending Induction Plans/Training

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Knowledge of IT solutions including the ability to learn and use new case management, SharePoint, project and/or reporting systems.
  • Good planning and organisational skills.

Position eligibility
In addition to the above key candidate qualities, to be eligible for this position you must:

  • be an Australian citizen
  • satisfy a National Coordinated Criminal History Check

A merit pool of suitable candidates may be created from this selection process. Suitable candidates placed on the merit pool may be contacted in relation to identical or similar vacancies on a non-ongoing and ongoing basis at the Commission, or the broader APS, within 18 months from the start date of this advertisement.

Non-ongoing opportunities may be offered with an initial engagement of up to 18 months, with one possible extension of up to 6 months (a total maximum contract period of 2 years).
