To support the continued growth of the local National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) market, we are seeking a passionate Business Development Lead to leverage off the strengths of current services, and identify new opportunities, for Council and local business to participate in the scheme.

The NDIS Business Development Lead will maintain current knowledge of NDIS requirements and provide advice and education to Council staff and local business in relation to the NDIS, to achieve greater engagement with, and inclusion of, NDIS participants and people with disability.

The role will also support the implementation of the Darebin Disability Access and Inclusion Plan to promote and embed concepts of access and inclusion; increasing the availability of a range of inclusive services and opportunities, to support people living with a disability in Darebin to exercise greater choice and control.

The successful applicant will enjoy working collaboratively, demonstrate sound communication skills and team work, and be responsible for providing excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

The successful applicant will possess:
• Tertiary qualifications in business, health, disability or related area, with demonstrable experience in business are essential or lesser formal qualifications with substantial relevant experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
• Experience in business development, including a proven track-record of influencing change
• Well-developed communication and engagement skills that foster a workplace culture of high professional standards and conduct
